their wonderful care. John
(45*)

express the thanks I have,
since my fall and for the
quick response by my wife

Pickett, Dr. Ing and Pat
Doyle. Thank you to the

CLARKE - Courage, deter-
mination and love of life.
Don demonstrated these
attributes all of his life, how-
ever, no more clearly than
the past 4 years as he battled
an unforgiving illness. The
family of the late Don Clarke
would like to extend our sin-
cere thanks and appreciation
to our family, neighbours and
friends for the many acts of
kindness and sympathy dur-
ing Don’s illness and loss.
The beautiful floral arrange-
ments, memorial donations,
food, cards and support are a
tribute to Don’s memory and
will be cherished forever.
Being a volunteer firefighter
was a very important part of
Don’s life for 25 years, and
your quick response the night
of Don’s passing, and tribute
at the funeral was both mov-
ing and fitting. Don would
be honoured. We would like
to extend our deepest appre-
ciation to South Huron
Hospital and the Ambulance
for the care provided over the
years of Don’s illness. We
would like to thank
Hoffman’s Funeral Home for
their assistance and support,
to Rev. Sheila Macgregor and
Bob Heywood for their com-
forting message and very
moving eulogy, Marjorie
Johns for her musical contri-
bution and to the Crediton

lunch after the funeral. A
very special thank you to the
pall bearers and flower bear-
ers for their kind assistance,
to Jean Clarke, Marlene and
Dave, and Nancy Rader for
providing the wonderful meal
between visitation. To Kim
Scott, your thoughtfulness
and friendship is very much
appreciated. The tremendous
outpouring of support and
kindness has meant a lot to
us during this very difficult
time. Thank you.
“I saw you getting tired,
When a cure was not to be
found,
So He closed his arms around
you,
And whispered time to come
home.
You suffered much in
silence,
Your spirit did not bend;
You faced your illness with
courage,
Until the very end.
You tried so hard to stay with
us,
But your fight was all in
vain,
God took you to his loving
home,
And freed you from your
pain.”
Betty Clarke and family

brothers who as always, were
there for her and her family.

Marie Rothenberg, Melanie
Overholt, Marg Gingerich,

express our gratitude and
appreciation for the love and
support that was expressed
through the beautiful music
presented to all of us at the
funeral mass. These memories
will be held forever in our
hearts. This thank you is also
sent out to anyone who may
have for some reason got
missed during this hectic time,
and we wish to thank all that
showed support in any way
possible. Husband Jerome and

Great-Grandchildren. (45*)
DYKEMAN - The family of
the late Les Dykeman would
like to extend our gratitude to
friends and family who contin-
ue to support us during this dif-
ficult time. Les battled cancer
since March and during this
time many special people have
touched our lives. The first
trip to the London Regional
Cancer Centre was a jolting
experience. What were we
doing there? This was to be
the first of many visits in our
lives over the course of the
next seven months. Les
received excellent care at St.
Joseph’s Health Care Centre,
Victoria Hospital,
Westminister Campus, and at
Parkwood Hospital - Palliative
Care Unit. Special thanks to
Dr. Diane Logan of LRCC.
Our gratitude goes out to the
VON nurses - Cheryl Carroll
and Jackie Richards without
whom we could not have
coped at home. They made is
possible for Les to remain at
home much of the time. Thank
you to Reverend Paul Ross for
his message at the funeral and
to Rob Morley for the eulogy.
Thank you to the Pallbearers.
Les was blessed with some
very special friends. Thank
you to Hopper Hockey Funeral
Home for the funeral arrange-
ments. Thank you to the
Exeter United Church Ladies
for the lunch following the
funeral. All of you have
helped to make this time more
bearable and we will be forever
grateful. Gwen and family
