Exeter is a long way from his place of birth on a farm in the south of Ireland, but he is a man with a mission. In fact he holds the office of General Director and Treasurer of the Faith Mission in Canada. 2002 marked the 75th anniversary of the work of this respected mission in this country. The vision started well over 100 years ago among devout Christians in Great Britain who have since sent missionaries throughout the world. The work in Canada is based out of an excellent camp/retreat cen- tre near Guelph where summer and snow camps are held for young people along with adult retreats and gatherings. John and his wife Isobel administer the centre where they raised their three boys. John, who spent many years as an evangelist in England, Ireland and Scotland, brings a fresh and clear message con- cerning the world, soci- ety, it’s problems and the solution. John will be speaking Nov. 10 at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. and each night through the week at 7:30 p.m. (excluding Saturday evening) and then at both services Nov. 17.
