EXETER — Exeter’s Jr. D Hawks are no longer perfect after a 3-2 loss to the Lambeth Lancers at home Friday night. The loss was the Hawks’ first of the sea- son, dropping their record to 5-1. Exeter goals came from Bentley Dundas and Shayne Andrews in the first period. Assists came from J.R. Davies, Joe Nesbitt, Jared Bourne and Jeff Finkbeiner. The Hawks had the lead after the first but the Lancers took the lead and kept it late in the second period. There was no scoring in the third, a period in which both teams only had six shots each. The Hawks had trou- ble on the power play, going scoreless in nine opportunities, while the Lancers scored one goal in their seven power play chances. The Hawks outshot the Lancers 25-24, with Ryan Frayne keeping goal for the Hawks and Norm Seakan in nets for the Lancers. The Hawks have a busy schedule this week. They travelled to Mt. Brydges last night after the Times- Advocate went to press, play at home versus Parkhill Friday at 8:30 p.m. and travel to Port Stanley Saturday. SportsTHISWEEK IN SPORTS Lucan Irish lose to Pt.
