That’s what Shawn ‘Rolly’ Vanstone is probably think-
ing as he gets up close and personal with the Stanley
Cup Sept.9 at Barney’s in London when Detroit Red
Wing Jason Williams brought the Cup for a tour of
London.Vanstone,now of London,grew up in Hensall
and is a South Huron District High School graduate.
Vanstone,32,owns his own carpentry business and
can be seen frequently at work in this area.

STRATFORD — The fall
edition of the Panther
rugby program got its
first and last action at the
Stratford Ewasick 7’s
tournament Friday.
The South Huron
District High School
senior boys defeated
Walkerton Sacred Heart
10-5, lost to Stratford
Northwestern 20-7 and
beat Waterford 17-14 in
the third place game.
Ryan Knee and Jason
Stuckless both scored two
tries on the day followed
by Justin Hayter with a
single try.
The Panther girls beat
Waterford 25-0 and
Northwestern 30-0 but
lost to Sacred Heart 15-0
in the final to finish sec-
ond. Brittany Caldwell
scored five tries, Julie
Prout had four tries and
Jasmine Lather and
Denise Ritchie each
scored a try.
South Huron coach
Terry O’Rourke said it
was an excellent day of
rugby 7’s and the players
all represented South
Huron well.
