Committee is seeking to hire an Elder Abuse Project Coordinator The Coordinator will initiate a community prevention program through the creation of a community education initiative that engages and increases the awareness of elder victimization and victim issues through the development of a Safety Guide for Older and Vulnerable Persons in booklet, audio and website format. The successful candidate will have: • Post secondary education in social services or related field with specific training in elder abuse • Demonstrated ability in community development initiatives • Excellent written communication skills • Ability to perform with minimal supervision • Excellent knowledge of word processing, presentation software and use of own computer a necessity • Knowledge of community resources would be a definite asset This eleven month, part time contract will commence January 16, 2006.
