Sunday school presents Christmas drama
NEWS
One evening during a Christmas
season, a group of poor folk went out
carolling in hopes of receiving a few
coins, food and/or warmth. At one
particular home the group were
invited in to sit by the fire. There they
were told a story, the story of the first
Christmas, through song, scripture
and pantomime.
The drama was presented by the
children of the Londesborough
United Church Sunday school at their
annual white gift service. No matter
how often one sees this Christmas
story presented by the children, one
is filed with the warm fuzzies. Their
had an important role in the
presentation, whether as an angel, a
shepherd, a magi, Joseph and Mary,
King Herod or a caroller.
The scene was set with scripture
readings by Tyler Mitchell and Brent
Drost, Matthew 1: 18-24, and 2: 1-6.
Throughout the drama
instrumental music was played by
Ken Scott and Bob Mann. Two young
girls Mikala Allen and Kelsey
Falconer shared their musical talents
by singing a duet. Away In a Manger
was sung by a group of the youngest
children, the older children’s choir

On Tuesday, Nov. 29, Sr. Const.
Shropshall came to the Grade 8 class

addictive drug even after just one
dose. Some of the body effects
include weight loss and it may
eventually dissolve the organs.
Sr. Const. Shropshall told the class
that ecstasy will be the number one
illegal drug of the future. Its use has
been increasing rapidly since it
appeared on the drug scene. It is
from the same family of drugs as
crystal meth and may be any colour.
Liver problems, acne, sleep
disturbances and aggressiveness are
side effects of this drug’s use.
