student’s visit to France. She visited
Vimy Ridge and the cemeteries
where Canadian soldiers of the
Second World War are buried.
The minutes of the previous
meeting were read by Gladys Van
Camp and Laura Johnston gave the
financial report.
A note of appreciation will be sent
to the Belgrave Branch of Huron
Bay Co-op.

will be accepted. Jane Grasby will
do the table decorations and Bruce

entertainment.
The November birthdays and
wedding anniversaries were
acknowledged. Shoot parties will be
held in the afternoons of Nov. 11
and 25.
Alice Nicholson introduced the
guest speaker, Rev. John Neilson.
He began by singing Keep Right On
To The End of The Road, then spoke
of the different memorials to
Canadian servicemen lost in war. He
mentioned ones he had visited in
different parts of Canada.
Servicemen were examples of
good citizens of their country and
fought for freedom which is a
privilege and the responsibility of
everyone. He urged everyone to
make an effort to vote in elections,
urging young people to do so, as
well.
Ada Taylor thanked him with a
gift. The meeting closed by singing
God Save The Queen and a social
time followed.
