Quebec tournament is all about
performance. I am thrilled for the
boys.” says Dave Partridge, head

Blyth Kings fall to Seaforth
The Clinton arena was the
location of the Blyth and Seaforth
Bantam broomball game, at noon,
on Saturday, Nov. 12.
The Blyth Kings were first on the
scoreboard when, Drayson Nairn
made a nice crossover pass with the
ball to left winger, Jordon Rinn.
Rinn shot the ball into the corner of
the net for the goal.
There were several goal attempts
from both teams, but at the end of
the first period, the Kings were
ahead 1 - 0.

Rollers tie
Seaforth
On Wednesday, Nov. 9, the Blyth
PeeWee Rollers went to Seaforth to
play broomball. Both teams hit the
ice with lots of excitement and
energy.
The ball was in both ends of the
arena, but neither team was able to
score. The Seaforth and Blyth
goaltenders made several saves
during the game.
Jonathon Hakkers was the Rollers
goalie for the night. He did a great
job covering the net as he earned a
shutout.
A two-minute overtime was
played but neither of the teams
could score a goal.
Blyth players are working hard
and improving in their positioning
and their game-playing skills. This
week the Blyth Rollers “fantastic

Brittany Boyce, Murray Dale, Derek
DeBoer, Tilynn Ducharme,

Teams from 16 countries will meet
in Quebec for the 10-day tournament
and tournament organizers predict
over 200,000 people will attend the
games, some of which will be carried
live on TV.
The Quebec tournament is
considered the highlight of many
minor hockey careers, even by the
legends. Wayne Gretzky is quoted as
saying, “Until I won my first Stanley
Cup, the most exciting thing in my
hockey career was the Quebec
tournament.”
The tournament alumni list
includes Gretzky and over 800 other
NHL players.
Seaforth came on strong after
halftime and took a hard shot on the
net, that fortunately hit Blyth’s
crossbar.

break the tie.
As there was more ice time after
the clock ran through regular play,

in the oppositions end but came up
