into surprise a day, a very nice
surprise too.

ways and many places again this
year. Whether gathered at the

of commerce the time to remember
our veterans was observed. We shall
remember them.
Several folks from the Brussels-
Ethel Pastoral Charge of the United
Church travelled to St. Thomas on
Sunday to show their support of
Joan Golden at her covenanting
service with the St. Andrews
congregation. Our prayers and good
wishes go with her into her first full-
time ministry position.
The deer hunters were out and
about last week but several folks
talked about near misses of
wayward deer on the highway, with
the orange vests nowhere in sight.
Do you suppose the deer have a
system to track the hunters’
whereabouts?
A few Christmas decorations are
up and the white stuff flying the
other morning made one think about
the coming season.
Bye now, Betty G.W.
