Five guilds from across Bruce and Grey Counties will bring together a collection of this past year’s works. Each quilt and miniature wall hanging is a piece of art, reflecting the artist’s individual creativity and passion for quilting. The Year’s Best is an open quilt show, welcoming all artists to sub mit work. The show is not juried - all pieces are accepted and a quali fied panel judges each piece. There are three categories of entries: the art/quilt challenge, tra ditional work, and innovative work. The first of its kind in Ontario, the art/quilt challenge invites any team of quilt maker and an artist working in another medium to sub mit a joint work. This will be the eighth year that the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre’s annual exhibition of miniature quilts and wall hang ings offers the art/quilt challenge. These unique pieces combine quilt ing, in all its forms, with a variety of other art mediums. The exhibit at the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre can be enjoyed until Sunday, Jan. 8. The Museum and Cultural Centre is located at 33 Victoria St. N„ Southampton and is open Monday - Saturday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sundays and holidays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. General admission applies.
