Happy Gang Seniors meet for potluek
The Londesborough Happy Gang
Seniors met for potluck at noon on
Wednesday, Oct. 26 at the
Londesborough Community Hall
During the business part ol the
afternoon, some discussion was held
regarding sending the names of
deceased members to a Memorial
Book sponsored by the Ontario
Seniors Association.
Members were reminded of details
for the group's Christmas gathering
on Nov. 30 al 12:30 p.m.

It was apple day for the Blyth Scouts Saturday, Oct. 29. Sheron Stadelmann from the Blyth
Lions Club presented the troop with a cheque donated by the Lions to Scout leader David

operates mainly from the Clinton
offices at the Betty Cardno Centre,
there are also services from centres
in Wingham. Exeter and Stratford.
Part of her responsibilities with the
office is to educate the general
public about the various services
I he aim ol these centres is to
pro\ ide health and home care
assistance programs to help persons
maintain their independence and
remain in their own homes longer
and also offer socializing
opportunities. Services arc available
for persons of all ages and in various
circumstances - families in need,
folk with physical hardships and
seniors needing support. This is a
neighbour helping neighbour
situation
I own and Country provides
18,000 Meals on Wheels in a year
and Seniors' dining in I 1
communities throughout Huron and
Perth Counties. Transportation for
medical and personal reasons were
provider! 7.000 limes last year.
Exercise programs arc geared to the
needs of participants. Details about
these and the other services offered
can be had from (he Clinton office.
Programs and services by Town
and country arc possible through the
help of 500 volunteers. Shelley
quotes Helen Keller when speaking
about these important services.

delivering a wonderful message. He
gave listeners much to think about in
the hours following the service.

with the eongregation. A pupil of
Shannon Seotl, Brittany possesses a
lovely voiee with a good range and
sang The Wish and a seleetion from
ABBA. Brittany is
student at CUSS.
