Robertson is currently the presi­ dent of the Huron-Bruce NDP Riding Association. A family farmer from Paisley is also the branch supervisor of the Lucknow and Ripley Branches of the Bruce County Library. Robertson has a long history of community involvement and leader­ ship. He is currently an Ontario director of the NFU-O (National Farmers Union - Ontario), where he has been working hard for the inter­ ests of family farmers. Robertson is also the local Bruce County vice- president of the NFU, and has served as a member of the Municipality of Brockton’s Agricultural Advisory Committee. Robertson is also actively involved in the practical protection of water, improving air, the environ­ ment and working to make life more affordable for families. Robertson was the candidate for the NDP in the 2004 federal and 2003 provincial elections.
