ARTHUR THOMAS AIRDRIE
Arthur Thomas Airdrie ot
Londesborough passed away
suddenly at his residence on Friday.
Aug. 5. 2005. He was in his 55th
year.
Art was born in Clinton, on Nov.
20. 1950. a son of the late Thomas
William Airdrie and the late Isabelle
Rebecca Scanlon.
Art was well known as the
production manager for the Hensail
Co-op - Londesborough Division.
Art was also one of the charter
members of the Londesborough
Lions Club and he was also very
active in the Londesborough
community at large.
Art was the beloved husband of
Dorothy (Collins) Airdrie. He was
the loving father of Stanley of
London, Tim of Bethany and Joseph
and his wife Robin of Vanastra. He
was the cherished Poppa Art of
Rebecca, Ciara and Curtis. He was
the dear brother of Pauline and her
husband Keith Siemon and their
children of Walton. Art was also
loved by his mother-in-law
Elizabeth Foster of Seaforth Manor
and by the Collins family.
Friends were received at the
Falconer Funeral Homes Ltd. -
Clinton Chapel where the funeral
service was held on Tuesday, Aug. 9
at 2 p.m. Rev. Pat Cook of the
Londesborough United Church
officiated.
Mr. David Overboe, a personal
friend of Art’s, gave the eulogy.
Cremation with interment of ashes
will be in Blyth Union Cemetery at a
later date.

Educational Trust Fund c/o Dorothy
Airdrie for Art’s grandchildren
would be appreciated as expressions
of sympathy.

Mary Kathleen (Hallahan) Hall of
Chester Basin. Nova Scotia and
formerly of Toronto and Blyth.
passed away peacefully at
Bridgewater. Nova Scotia on
Monday. Aug. 8. 2005. She was in
her 65th year.
She was the loving wife of Bill
Hall and beloved mother of Dennis
Hall of Amherst. Nova Scotia and
Kelly Ann and her husband Trevor
Kristensen of Tofield, Alberta. She
will be sadly missed by her
grandchildren William and Kody
Kristensen. She was the dear sister
of Rill Hallahan of Blyth. Bob
Hallahan and wife Louise of
Brampton and Marjorie Church and
husband George of Dublin. Ireland.
Mrs. Hall was predeceased by her
parents Dennis and Nora (Taillon)
Hallahan.
Friends were received at Sacred
Heart Roman Catholic Church. 220
Carling Terrace. Wingham on
Wednesday. Aug. 17 for visitation
from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral
mass at ll a.m. Celebrant was
Father John Johnson.
Interment was at St. Michael’s
Cemetery, Morris Twp. followed by
a reception at Sacred Heart Church.
Wingham.
Funeral arrangements were
entrusted to the Falconer Funeral
Homes Ltd., Clinton.
GLEN DUNCAN McNICHOL
Glen Duncan McNichol ot
Seaforth passed away at Seaforth
Community Hospital on Friday.
Aug. 12. 2005. He was in his 83rd
year.
He was the beloved husband of
Dorothy (Watt) McNichol. Glen was
the dear father of Beth and Harold
VanDoornik. of RR4. Seaforth.
Joyce and Robert Brown of Port
Stanley and Nancy McNichol of
Hamilton. He was the loving
grandfather ot seven grandchildren
and six great-grandchildren. • He is
also survived by sisters Mildred

on exhibit at Stratford church
There are 42 million people living
around the world with HIV/AIDS. Of
these. 95 per cent are in the
developing world. And the crisis
continues to grow, exacerbating
existing emergencies, reversing
development gains, and creating new
crises on a global scale.

The church is hosting a
photographic exhibition by Carl
Hiebert. featuring his powerful
images from Malawi expressing the
beauty and tragedy of life with AIDS
within our world. The exhibition will
run from Sunday. Aug. 21 until
Monday. Sept. 5 in the Sanctuary of
Knox Church.
There is no cost, and donations are

The exhibition is in support of
Presbyterian World Service and
Development's ‘Toward a World
without AIDS' initiative which is
seeking to raise funds to address the
needs of those living with HIV/AIDS
within Canada and around the world.
The primary concerns of this
campaign are to support in Canada
and overseas: HIV/AIDS Prevention
that addresses education and the root
causes of injustice in order to prevent
the spread of HIV/AIDS.
• HIV/AIDS Advocacy that
positively influences HIV/AIDS-
related public policy decisions and
resource allocation in favour of
human dignity and human rights for
all.
• HIV/AIDS Practical Responses to

Cemetery.

care workers to care for people living

pastors and lay leaders to provide
pastoral care for people living with
HIV/AIDS and work against stigma
and discrimination for people living
with HIV/AIDS in churches and
communities.
To date, over $500,000 has been
raised in support of this goal.
