BLYTH UNITED CHURCH
Greeting at Blyth United Church
on Sunday, July IO was Joann
MacDonald. Ushers were Pat and
Harv Bernard and Rob and Karen
Mason. Margaret Kai was guest
organist.
The congregation was favoured
with a solo by Dane Corneil.
Rev. Robin McGauley told the
children the story of how God made
the world. He made Adam and Eve
to be partners with him to help finish
the world. A partner is one with
whom you work and whom you
depend upon
The lcctionary gospel reading was
Matthew 13: 1-I3, 16-23. The
responsive reading Psalm Il9 was
followed by Rev. McCauley's
message to the adults. Secrets of the
Kingdom.
The prayer heard most often in
churches is The Lord's Prayer. Jesus
talked in parable so the ordinary
people could understand the secrets
of God’s Kingdom. Parables are like
puzzles and people want to know' the
answers. Dane Corneil favoured the
congregation with another solo.
