Obituaries HERBERT SCOTT TRAViSS Herbert Scott Traviss of Seaforth, and formerly of Walton passed away at Seaforth Community Hospital on Sunday. July 3, 2005. He was the beloved husband of Mildred (Sellers) Traviss. He was the dear father of Dr. Brian Traviss and his wife Wilma of Waterloo and Gail and her husband Ken Moffett of Egmondville. He was the loving grandfather of six, Alisson and her husband Peter Pinfold of Toronto, Lesley and her husband Mark Curtis of Waterloo. Brett Moffett of Kitchener, Kent Moffett and Mark Moffett, both of Egmondville. and Kristine Silva of B.C.; and great­ grandfather of five, Nicole. Lauren. Devin. Sophie and Tyler. Mr. Traviss was survived by his sister-in-law, Viola Traviss. of Seaforth. He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Eva (Scott) Traviss. Family received friends at the Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home. Seaforth on Monday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A Legion and funeral service was held at Northside United Church. Seaforth on Tuesday, July 5 at 11 a.m. Major Frank Golding and Rev. Henry Huberts officiated. Pallbearers were Brett Moffett, Kent Moffett, Mark Moffett, Peter Pinfold, Mark Curtis and Gary Bennett. Honorary pallbearers were Ronald Bennett. Howard Hackwell and Bill Fleming. Flowerbearers were Alisson Pinfold and Lesley Curtis. . Interment was in Brussels Cemetery. Memorial donations to Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation or Northside United Church would be appreciated as expressions ol sympathy. Condolences at www.whitneyribeyfuneralhomc.com KIETH ERNEST GOOD Mr. Kieth Ernest Good of RR1, Auburn, passed away at the Clinton Public Hospital on Saturday. June 25. 2005. He was in his 6Xth year. Mr. Good was the beloved husband of Jean (Giousher) Good who predeceased him in 2004. He was the loving father of Michael and Cindy Good of RRL Auburn, and Larry and Jackie Good of RR5. Clinton. Joan Tuchlinsky’s reflection was entitled Who was Thomas the Apostle? Thomas was the disciple who did not believe that Jesus had risen from the dead until he had seen for himself. He did not believe Jesus’ when he was told Lazarus was dead until he was shown or of Jesus impending crucification until it happened. They travelled to the Point Farms are for mini-golf, then returned to Brian and Joan’s for supper. Mini-golfers included Brian, Joan, Bethany and Laura Black, Joelle and Melissa Glanville, David Pethick and Abby McGavin. Joining them on return for supper were Cassandra Banks and Ryan and Adam Baan. The old furnaces are gone and the new furnaces are being installed this week at the church. Baptismal font family keepsake Kristen Pearl Scott, infant daughter of Shelley and Rick Scott of Clinton, was baptized on Sunday, June 26, 2005 at Ontario Street United Church, Clinton. Rev. Bob Biggar officiated. Assisting with the morning service was Rev. Janette Fradette. The silver baptismal font used for the baptism had been the property of the former Knox United Church, Moncrieff. In 1976 when an auction of the church property was held following the closure of the church, the fon* was purchased by Archie and Pearl Mann. The late Mr. and Mrs. Mann, who farmed in the Moncrieff area, would be Kristen Pearl's great- grandparents. The keepsake font had served two generations of the Mann family while members of Knox at Moncrieff. Among family attending the service was Listowel resident Marion Roberts, as well as the baby's grandparents, Robert and Pat Mann. Clinton; Robert and Barb Watson, Seaforth and great- grandparents George and Ida Earle of Goderich. Baby Kristen is also the granddaughter of the late Charlie Scott. A baptismal luncheon was held at the Scott home in Clinton following the service.
