Letter to the editor
Bannerman a ‘gem’
THE EDITOR,
Rev. Dr. Eugen Bannerman came
to Blyth United Church in January
2002.‘In (he three and a hall years
that he was here, he brought new life
and vitality to Blyth United,
resulting in camaraderie among the
entire congregation. He is a gem!
Not only did he do wonders for
our church, he took an interest and
was actively involved in our
community
Among the many things he did
was serving on the board ol directors
lor the Blyth Centre ol the Arts. Also
he did village portraits on some
long-time residents namely Ken
Jackson. Harvey McDowell. Ernie
Phillips, Janis Vodden, Grant
Sparling, Stewart Ament and Aubrey
Toll These portraits have been
compiled into a booklet and can be
obtained at Blyth United Church.
Everyone loved Dr. Bannerman
and he will be missed very much.
Our loss will be someone else’s gain.
Lois van Vliet.
