In this conneotios we once more call attention to the,rem- edy which was printed itt the Tribune: a few days since, with accompaying statements from well—known citizen who had successfully employed at ata their own families, and in cases whera their physicians could give no hope. This remedy was the plain juice of the pine -apple, whose acid seems to have the effect of eating off or removing t fungus which attaches to the disease part of the throat, and which is the fatal/ element in such cases. The remedy - has long been known in the south, alai the statement made .as to its efficacy by the citizens alluded to must be acceptt • ed as correct and trustworthy.. It is a very simple one and easily procurable and its value ought to be tested. is the widest possible ' manner. Physicians themselves should be the first to em- ploy it and watch its operation, but if the prejudices against a remedy whicla. is not in the materia niedica are se strong that they will not prescribe it then let patients themselves take the responsibility.
