Auburn friends of Rex Johnston are
certainly thinking of him and his
family recently. Rex has started his
recovery following his ATV accident.
He has been given a good prognosis
despite having endured a nine-hour
surgery. Difficult days lie ahead for
the family and the Auburn-area
friends and neighbours are all pulling
for a full recovery.
Some Auburn residents attended
the wedding of Mark Bricker and his
bride. Mark is the son of Dennis and
Brenda Bricker, formerly of Auburn.
Congratulations Relay of Life.
Some Auburn people participated on
teams walking the whole night. When
walking around the track, participants
saw names on the bags that were lit
after dark honouring cancer survivors
or in memory of cancer patients from
Auburn.
Sandy and Shirley Andrews and
Bud and Laura Mae Chamney were
on a bus trip Sunday to the Ford
Museum in Michigan.
The Auburn Lions club held its
final meeting before the summer
break on Wednesday. The meeting
was held at the new Lions picnic
shelter pavilion in the Riverside Park.
The picnic tables are now up and
everything is looking great.
The gentlemen invited their
spouses and a great time was had.
Enjoy your summer break
everyone, you have certainly earned
it.
Annette Stephenson of Brussels
visited with me this week. She is
starting her own interior design
consultation business. She offers in
house counsel on paint, fabric,
colours - the works.
Annette has beeri an art student of
mine for several years and I know
how very talented she is. with her on
your side, any home will be increased
in value in a few days.
After a couple of hours of chat, we
had solved many of the world
problems and all of my decorating
woes.
Annette was celebrating her
birthday while here for the day. We
went for lunch in the Village Cafe in
Dungnanon where we were joined by
Carmen Klaus of Goderich.
If you need a bit of help by all
means give Annette a call. She will
make the whole process a delight and
the results will be more than you had
ever imagined possible.
