Drabiuk claims overall PeeWee boys
title at north Huron track meet
The North Huron elementary schools’ track and field
meet was held June 16 at the track at Howick Central
School.
Athletes from Brussels Public, Grey Central and East
Wawanosh Public schools placing first or second in an
event are as follows:

Ryan Drabuk of East Wawanosh was the overall
winner in the PeeWee boys division. All other individual
titles were won by Howick Central athletes.
Howick won the overall school title, with Grey placing
second and Wingham Public third.

Huron elementary school track and field meet held last Friday at Central
Huron Secondary School in Clinton are as follows:

Alex Raynard of Blyth was second in the junior girls overall points
standings; Heather Gibson of Hullett was third.
Brendan Boven of Hullett was second in the junior boys standings; Grant
Sparling of Blyth was third.
Danielle Bean of Hullett took top individual honours in the intermediate
girls division; Laura Youngblut of Blyth was second.
Krista Rozendal of Hullett was third in the senior girls and Matt Boven of
Hullett was third in the senior boys.
Brewers edged by Braves in HCFL play
The Walton Brewers had their
Tuesday night game cancelled due to
weather, but played Sunday night
against the Exeter Braves in Exeter.
They were defeated 3-2 to suffer
then third loss in a row.
Sieve Leonhardt pitched the first
five innings and Scott Leonhardt
pitched the final two innings. Bruce
Peam was the hot batter of the night
going three for four at the plate.
The Walton Indians played Friday
night in Winthrop against the Rats.
The Rats had to forfeit the game due
to lack of players, but they played
for practice and were trounced by
the Indians.
The Walton Wonders had the week
off and will resume playing with a
game in Ethel this week.z*

for people to serve as
Secretary, Vice-President
and additional Directors on
the executive. These are
very rewarding positions
and minor hockey needs them to be filled. Meetings are held the first
Monday of every month. Your teams and your children need these
positions to be filled. Late registration will result in additional fees.
Power Skating is offering 10 week and 20 week sessions.
Remember hockey, power skating and figure skating is not only great
exercise for your kids but also a great social and fun time for the
children and their parents.
