To their surprise, one box contained crayons and the other had cereal. Rev. Pat wanted the children to recognize that sometimes things are not as they appear. A barbecue for everyone followed the service. The hamburgers, donated by Doug Trewartha, were cooked by Sunday school dads. Ice­ cream and cake were supplied by the Sunday school. The church basement was decorated with balloons, sand pails and colourful tablecloths. The children participated in tattoo, face painting and bubbles and Professor Bug shared wrist balloons with the young folk. Londesborough United’s triennial review takes place on Wednesday, June 15 at 7 p.m. All members of the congregation participate. Rev. At evening’s end there was a tie of Xsix for the most lone hands played successfully by Delores Howatt, Reta Kelland, Janet Davies and Gloria Love. Harold and Doris McClinchey with 74 had the most points when the score were tallied followed closely by Helen Lee and Bernice McClinchey with 72 points. A tie of 70 points won third place for Clarence and Adeline Allen and Helen Dale and Mabel Wheeler. Five prizes were awarded for the share-the-wealth draws. The seniors’ group will host their next card party on July 8. We are participating in the First Impressions Community Exchange program, partnered with Walkerton. Volunteers exchange visits and record the first impression a community conveys to visi­ tors, including tourists, potential investors and new residents. It offers a fresh perspective on the com­ munity’s appearance, services and infrastructure and helps communities learn about their strengths and shortcomings. The Professional Staff By-laws have also been updated to be consistent with the expectations of the OHA/OMA Prototype By-laws (2003) and to adopt best practices. The Administrative By­ laws are amended to reflect changes in definitions occasioned by the changes to the Professional Staff By-laws and to allow Local Advisory Committee members to attend in camera portions of Board meetings at the Board’s discretion.
