FROM WALTON Brewers lose 2 The Walton Brewers ended their tour-game win streak with two losses this week. On Tuesday evening they hosted the Wroxeter Jrs. Paul Dolmage was on the mound and got off to a great start with the Brewers batting to a 5- 0 lead after five innings. Unfortunately a string of bloop hits and errors made it easy for the Juniors to go ahead of the Brewers for a final score of 8-7. Steve Leonhardt went in for relief for two winnings and Ron Strome cracked one out-of-the-park, two-run homer to earn the Brewers' other two runs. Darrell Houston had two triples to help the cause in the game. The Brewers’ bad luck went to Zurich with them on Sunday evening when they were defeated 11-1 by the Rangers. Scott McDonald started on the mound and was relieved by Scott Leonhardt. Steve Knight was two for two at bat and the game ended with the hydro going out just after the final out of the game. The women’s slo-pitch team played Thursday evening in Walton with the Wonders defeating the Chicksters. The men's slo-pitch team, the Walton Indians, played Wednesday evening and defeated the Jackhammer team. Manns greet at Duffs Jim and Mary Mann greeted worshippers at Duff’s United Church Sunday.
