The best toasted subs around!
It is evening. Twelve acquaintances have all gathered at the home of Simone Montgomery to conduct a
seance. They are all somehow connected to Simone's missing husband Riordan Montgomery who mysteriously
disappeared on a boating trip 4 years ago. His body was never recovered. Simone is hopeful that her
husband's ghost will contact her tonight so that she can finally be convinced of his death and move on with
her life. Many in the room do not believe Riordan is dead.
As Madame Devora is about to begin the ceremony, the power goes out. There is the sound of frantic
footsteps, doors opening, a scream, the faint sounds of a struggle followed by silence and the dull thump of
a body hitting the floor. When the power is finally restored, Simone is missing from the room. The rest of the
guests search for her throughout the house. She is eventually found...murdered.
Using the biographies of the characters present at the seance (that will be printed in the paper weekly) and
the clues (that will be given out at participating businesses) your job is to solve the case by finding the answers
to these three questions: What room did the murder take place in?
What was the weapon used in the murder?
Who is the murderer?
HOW TO PLAY:
Collect all 15 clues (five for each question) from the participating businesses displayed on this page. There will
be new clues issued every other week to the businesses so you may need to visit each location more than once to
collect all of the clues needed. Use the clues and the information printed in the character bios every week to
solve the mystery!
A ballot will be printed in the paper asking for your accusation in this case the second last week of the contest
(June 23r<1). Fill it out and submit it to any of the businesses on this page before Monday June 271*1 at 4pm.
You may enter the contest with as many ballots as you like but only correct ballots will be entered into the draw
for the grand prize, a gift basket containing donated materials from each participating business. A complete list
of items included in the grand prize will be printed June 9^ and June 23rc*.
The winner will be notified by phone and featured in the Citizen on June 30^. Happy Detecting!!!

TERRENCE FIELDS (42) is Simone's first ex-

clean-cut youth, Terrence is now the tattooed owner of
a hemp store. He spent several years in jail after being
framed by Simone and her half brother Jimmy for the
disappearance and suspected murder of Simone's
former groundskeeper Eddie MacPhee. After he was
proven innocent of the crime, Terrence petitioned to
have the officer in charge of the case fired and has
desperately tried to raise Simone and her half brother
Jimmy as suspects in the case.
