Rev. Bannerman's message to the
adults was Rural Life Sunday.
Sometimes when people just enter a
small rural town they only see
people leading dull and petty lives.
They don't see the caring and
helpful people. When someone dies,
there are many tributes of caring in
the way of food brought to the home
and other acts of kindness. When a
farmer takes sick, his neighbours
get together and help with his
farming.

going to be busy this coming
Saturday. May 7 as they meet in
Blyth to choose their candidate for
the upcoming Federal Election.
There are currently at least four
candidates on the slate seeking the
nomination.
“We are extremely excited about
having strong Conservatives hoping
to be our next candidate”, states
Mark Beaven, chair of the

is a sign of the anger towards the
Liberals that we have such a hotly
contested race.”
The list of candidates seeking the
nomination thus far are: Harry
DenHaan of Seaforth, Ralph
Kreutzwiser of Wingham, Ben Lobb
of Clinton, and Jason Rogers of
Mildmay.
The nomination event promises to
be full day with the official start
being 1 p.m. at the Blyth and District
Community Centre.
“The meeting starts with all the
candidate speeches and then voting
starts”, explains Beaven. “With this
many candidates we are anticipating
it to go to more than one ballot and
so to keep everyone entertained
during the ballots we have a jazz
