their birthdays on May 2.

They planted over 3.000 trees.
Well done!

Damage
done to
Blyth
school
On April 18 at 10 a.m. OPP were
notified of damage done to the
Blyth Public School located King
Street.
Sometime over the previous
weekend a person threw stones at
the door window leading into the
kindergarten classroom. The glass
in the door was damaged and will
cost about $300 to replace.
On April 20 at 9:30 a.m. OPP
were called for the second time in a
few days.
Sometime overnight a person
broke a window on the east side of
the school. A door window was
damaged when it was found with a
hole in the bottom section. The
damage looks like it was done with
a pellet from a pellet gun.
If you can help solve this crime
call the Wingham OPP office or
Crime Stoppers.
Mother Nature played a trick on
us this past weekend. She didn’t
want us to forget that it can still
snow the end of April.
Many things were cancelled in the
area including Blyth United Church.
As a result 1 don’t have any church
news but some dates to remember

into the residence and no one has
paid taxes since 1998.
Craigen suggested that council
consider writing off all or a portion
of the taxes pursuant to Section 357
of the Municipal Act in order to
finalize an agreement between the
purchaser and the vendor.
Director of finance/treasurer
Donna White said that both the
municipality’s solicitor and the
assessment office have stated that
the section does not apply in this
case.
Craigen was thanked by council
and told that the matter would be
discussed further.
