Steckle further stated, “I have
never been shy about criticizing my
government and party when I felt
that they were heading in the wrong
direction; my record on that is clear.
That said. I am proud of the
immediate and decisive way that our
prime minister has dealt with the
sponsorship file. His actions on this
matter clearly demonstrate his desire
to ferret out any wrongdoing and
then to ensure that perpetrators are
prosecuted to the full extent of the
given by his son David and
grandchildren Sandra Huether and
Sheri Bouwman. As a tribute to

Boy, accompanied by Grace Jutzi.

law. To me, these are the actions of
an honest and sincere leader and not
of someone who has something to
hide or who is trying to politicize the
regrettable actions of what could be
a very small rogue group. To me, we
need to permit Justice Gomery to
complete the task our prime minister
asked him to undertake; then our
courts will have an opportunity to
punish wrongdoers based upon the
facts.”
