Family, friends and neighbours
gathered at the Women’s Institute
Hall, Belgrave on Sunday, April 17
to celebrate Georgette Campbell’s
upcoming May birthday.
The fifty-five people present came
from Strathroy, Owen Sound,
Atwood, Bluevale, Londesborough,
Teeswater, Fordwich, Wingham,
Belgrave and area.
The guest of honour and several
others arrived at the Hall in a horse-
drawn carriage, courtesy of Jim and
Mary Hunter of Belgrave.
Hall decorations featured an angel
theme and balloons and candles
added to the festive decor. A
bountiful potluck meal was enjoyed
by all as well as time for visiting
with each other.
Georgette thanked everyone for
the lovely party which was given as
a surprise for her. Unfortunately her
husband, Allan was unable to attend
due to illness. We wish him a speedy
recovery and a return to good health.
The community extends sincere
sympathy to Sharon Cameron and
Steve and Linda Cameron, and Lori
McIntosh and families in the recent
passing of Tom Cameron.
