Belgrave Mixed - Blyth battles BCH The Blyth Senior Tykes whitewashed BCH in Clinton on -March 19. Dustin Pennington scored both first-period goals for Blyth. Ryan Plunkett, Josh VanSoest and Brendan Hallahan earned the assists. The girls on the team sparked a high-scoring second period. Ashley Property Crimes Unit solves 2 more cases The Huron OPP Property Crimes Unit has solved two more cases in the Huron East area. Last July 3, during the early morning hours an attempted theft was made on a 2004 Bombardier SeaDoo in the enclosed compound of Vincent’s Farm Equipment on Hydro Line Road and North Line in Huron East, north of Seaforth. Someone entered the compound through a row of evergreen trees on the west side. When the thief tried to leave with the trailer it became entangled in the trees. It was learned that a dark truck was seen leaving the area that morning shortly after 6 a.m. Later that day a green 1997 Dodge Ram truck was reported stolen from a residence near Bayfield. Officers have charged a 21-year- old from Bluewater with theft over Robinson 8, T. Edgar 3. McBurney 12, Sinclair 6, Linton 9. Olson 5. B. Haines 8, Scott 0. Friday N'ght Mixed - Simpson 8, Waechter 5, Roberts 9. Hickey 6, Clugslon 7, Cottrill 4, MacDonald 8, Wraith 7. Higgins and Autumn Wightman each scored unassisted to start the period. Then Cory Ducharme bulged the twine, followed by two more for Pennington. Creditted with assists were Ryan Plunkett, Pennington, Wightman and Ducharme. The final score was 7-0 for Blyth. $5,000. He is presently in custody and will attend court later this month. The equipment at Vincent’s Farm Equipment was valued at $30,000. Then on Feb. 23 another male was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property. The theft took place sometime between Feb. 1 and 4 when it was reported to police. A 700 cc yellow 2002 Skidoo model #MXZX was taken from the backyard of a residence on Railway Street in Seaforth. A Crime Stoppers’ tip led police to a residence on Kinbum Line in Huron East where the stolen machine was located behind a shed. A 29-year-old from Central Huron will attend court in Goderich on May 2, charged with the offence. The stolen property was estimated at approximately $5,000.
