Brenda Perrie, and Yvonne Knight used the worship service from the World Day of Murray Keffer says the last night for darts in Cranbrook this time will be March 30. The results for this past week are Sarah Josling high lady with I09 points and Ernie Lewington with 122 points was high man. The card parties will begin again for the season on April I. They are held in the Cranbrook Community Centre at 8 p.m. the first and third Friday evenings from April to November. Congratulations to Crystal Daugherty. Edna McLellan’s granddaughter, who won the talent award in the 2005 Paddyfest Ambassador competition in Listowel. She did a comic monologue on Talent, saying “Everybody has some, even me”. Birthday wishes go out to Carla Knight, March 20; Kathy Workman, March 22 and Bev Smith, March 24. The Ethel firefighters hosted a snow volleyball tournament on Saturday outside the fire hall with eight teams participating. Lunch was served inside the fire hall and all report having a great time. Prayer for their Bible readings and prayers. The following hymns were used throughout the service. This Is The Day of Light, Jesus Bids Us Shine, Lead Kindly Light, and O Send Thy Light Forth. The World Day of Prayer service was written by the women of Poland. The theme was Let Our Light Shine and it came from the gospel of Matthew. Yvonne Knight read two stories provided by the service and Brenda Perrie closed the meeting read A Blessing. Lunch was served by Eleanor Stevenson assisted by the hostess. Donna Knight. 2 teens die in ear erash Two young people are dead as a result of a two-vehicle collision on March 8. Officers responded at approximately 8:30 p.m. to a two- vehicle crash on Huron Road (Hwy. 8). between Hensall Road and Perth Road 183. An eastbound Pontiac Montana, driven by a 17-year-old male youth from Huron East, went out of control on the snow-covered road striking a westbound GMC Safari. The two vehicles collided head-on in the north lane. Two people from the GMC van were taken to Seaforth Public Ambulance for medical treatment. The driver, Sandra Morey, 40, from Seaforth was admitted for non-life threatening fractures and was transported to London the next morning. Her daughter, Cassandra Morey, 10. had been moved to London with serious non-life FROM CRANBROOK threatening injuries, mostly fractures to the legs. The driver of the Montana was also taken to Seaforth Hospital by ambulance for injuries received in the crash. Matthew Bolton. 17, from Huron East, was admitted to hospital with internal injuries. The injuries were non-life threatening. Two others in the van, Nicholas Giller 17, and Thomas Ash, 18, from Seaforth, both passengers, one in the front and the other in the back seat, died in the crash. The road was closed for several hours while Seaforth Fire Department extricated the deceased from the van and members of the Technical Traffic Collision Investigators conducted their investigation. The road was re­ opened at approximately 1:15 a.m. on March 9. The investigation into the crash continues.
