The lectionary reading was from Ezekiel 37: 1-14. The responsive psalm was Psalm 130 led by Ollie Craig. Rev. Bannerman’s message to the adults was. The Valley of Dry Bones. The Israelites marched to Babylon. Ezekiel was a priest, a prophet in exile. He had dreams and visions of dry bones walking around. God said to Ezekiel to call on the wind. The skeleton’s breath came back and I,(XX) people formed an army. God told Ezekiel He would take them from their graves back to Palestine. These were symbols and prophesies. Theft from Radford’s On March 7 at 3 p.m. OPP were contacted about a break-in at Radford Auto Parts, Queen Street, in Blyth. A deposit of more than $700 had been taken from the business. The theft is believed to have happened sometime on March 6 between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. when an outer door was left insecure. The missing money is in Canadian currency. If you can help solve this case call the local OPP or Crime Stoppers at l-800-222-8477(TIPS). COUNSELLING Crunch A collision occurred just after noon last Thursday in front of Bell’s Pizza in Blyth. Arena manager Dave Cook told the Huron OPP that the plaque was taken off the wall of the entrance sometime overnight of March 4-5. He indicated visiting students with the Sears Drama Festival were spending the night at the facility and there was a chaperone. The plague is a government plaque thanking the contributors — Government of Ontario and Village of Blyth - for the building of the facility’s addition. He indicated he has no idea as to arena who took the plaque off the wall. A similar plaque will have to be purchased to replace the one that has been stolen. . “It is expensive to replace,” said Cook. Anyone with information on this theft may contact the local OPP detachment or Crimestoppers. Goderich man donates 50/50 to Easter Seals Classified advertisements published in The Citizen are now available on our website at www.northhuron.on.ca Scott Jenkins of Goderich was the winner of the 50-50 draw held in conjunction with the North Huron Snowarama between Clinton and Blyth on March 26. Jenkins won $92.50 in the draw, held at the Blyth Snowtravellers clubhouse in conjunction with the Easter Seals run. He donated the money back to Easter Seals.
