Easter Egg Hunt
at Schnieder Haus
The Joseph Schneider Haus
annual Easter Egg Hunt is on
Saturday, March 26 at 10 a.m. sharp,
rain or shine.
Hundreds of coloured eggs will be
hidden on the grounds of the
Museum for children eight years and
younger to discover. Participants
must be accompanied by an adult
and there is also a designated
bunnykins area for children aged
three and younger. Once the eggs
have been collected, children can
visit with the Easter Bunny, trade
their coloured eggs for Easter candy,
enjoy the antics of newly-hatched
spring chicks in the classroom, or
decorate eggs with staff in the
historic kitchen.
A small number of onion skin-
dyed eggs with traditional scratched
designs will be hidden - the lucky
children finding these eggs will
receive a special Easter treat.
Admission to the event is free;
donations welcome.
Lines form at both Queen and
David Street entrances for the older
children and across Queen Street in
the schtick for the younger.
Regular admission rates apply for
visits to the historic house. The
Joseph Schneider Haus is located at
466 Queen St. S. in Kitchener.
