Fraser. Ushers were Karen Mason
and Pat and Harvey Bernard. Guest
musician was Margaret Kai.
The children’s hymn was All
Things Bright and Beautiful.
The lectionary reading was from
Exodus 17: 1-7. The responsive
reading was Psalm 95.
Rev. Eugen Bannerman’<s
message to the adults was Your
Trust Has Cured You. Rev.
Bannerman began by saying “Trust
is defined as a firm belief in the
reliability, truth, ability and
strength of someone or something.”
The word trust seems to have a
truer, more honest ring today than
the word faith. Many have trust in
their doctors and because they trust
them doctors can often perform
medical marvels that surprise
people.
Babies learn to trust their
surroundings if treated properly.
Mark tells the story of the blind
Bartimaeus. Jesus sent Bartimaeus
walking away with these words,
“Be on your way. your trust has
cured you. Jesus did not tell
people that He had cured them but
He said “Your trust has cured you.”
ATV

from
shed
On Feb. 23 at 5 p.m. a farmer on
London Road in Central Huron
north of Clinton contacted OPP over
a break-in. Through the night
someone had entered an unlocked
driving shed and taken a red 200
Honda 350 four-wheel ATV. The
ATV was unplated at the time and
had the keys in the ignition. Tracks
were found al the scene indicating
that two people had entered the
structure. Tire marks showed that
the ATV went westbound on
Summerhill Road before stopping
and being loaded onto a waiting
vehicle.
The ATV is valued at
approximately $4,000.
If you can help solve this case
pick up the phone and call the
Huron OPP or contact Crime
Stoppers at l-800-222-8477(TIPS).

World Day of Prayer 2005 *
Let Our Light Shine ~ Written by the women of Poland
Christians around the world will be focusing on the country of Poland during the <Hh>
annual World Day of Prayer service. Local residents are invited to join in this worldwide
event by attending a service at 7:30 on March 4, 2005 at Blyth Christian Reformed Church.
This year’s World Day of Prayer service, written by the women of Poland, reflects on ‘jUjp
the theme “Let Our Light Shine’’. The women of Poland greet all those participating in this
service by saying, “Szczesc Boze” which means “May God bless you!” o^o
Poland, with a population of 83 million, tries to balance the influences of the West and °“g
the East. Since 1989, when Poland overthrew the communist regime and became a
democracy, the country has been transformed from a centrally run to a free-market <Hh>
OnO economy. Most economic advantages benefit the cities, while many people who live and
work on small farms in rural areas remain poor. Women are especially affected by high
unemployment rate, and are increasingly at risk from traffickers.
Participants attending the World Day of Prayer will not only be learning more about
this country and its unique culture and heritage, but will also be joining Christians in more ono
than J 70 countries around the world and 2,000 communities across Canada who will gather g g
together to pray and take action in solidarity with the people of Poland.
The World Day of Prayer has its roots in an ecumenical day of prayer organized by
women in Canada and the United States in 1920. This event became the international World
Day of Prayer in 1922, and Christians around fne world began celebrating this event on the
first Friday of March.
In Canada, the World Day of Prayer is coordinated by the Women’s Inter-Church
Council of Canada. In this community, the coordinating group has representation from the
following churches: ooo
Trinity Anglican, Blyth United, Church of God, |Cg
Living Water & Blyth Christian Reformed. gp
