Musician
Christian musician Bryan Moyer Suderman was at the

We’re just on the downside of a
full moon. For anyone out
wandering the past few nights it was
a sight to behold. The night view
was like a description out of a
flowery novel - the clear sky, the
multitude of stars, the light of the
moon, the sparkling snow and crisp
cold. Tall trees and wire fences
made all the details very clear. What
a land of wonder we live in.

Weather
ready again this week as March
made its debut. If air time counts for
anything the weather folks are set to
have the new month come roaring
in. Another old saying that proves
itself correct about half the time.
Yes, only time would tell.
The lifecycle is a marvel to watch.
On Sunday our Ninja died. This was
the cat that helped raise three boys.
Like any cat he knew that this was
his kingdom and all about were here
to adore him. One very loud meow

had the folks here well organized. If
folks were chatting and ignoring the
asked-for attention a standing jump
was allowed.
Many of the boys’ stories were
given new life as Ninja got into the
middle. For 15 years Ninja was on
duty in this home to hear tales of
glory or misbehaving and would end
many of tha moments with two paws
on the shoulders and a well-placed
lick. Only one of God's creatures
knows how to cap the moment and
Ninja did it well.
You’re darn right our home is a
little sad this week. But life is
cycling on.
In the line of marvels to watch, as
I was driving west from Belgrave a
small herd of deer decided to use the
road as their highway at the same
time. At least five had crossed when
one large one stopped on the
pavement to look back. By now I
was fully stopped and he walked on.
As I checked the opposite road
allowance there were three young
deer standing majestically deciding
whether to move

The students at Brussels Public
School have had an exciting month.
Grades 4-8 went skiing at Talisman
on Feb. 9. It was the first skiing for
many students and quite a few
parents, too. Even students who
found learning to ski challenging
knew that they had accomplished a
great deal of learning. Thanks to the
many parents who accompanied the
school on the trip.
Congratulations to the many
public speakers who represented
their classes in the gym on Feb 8.
Rachel Hastings, Caitlin Scarrow
and Emily Mitchell from Grade I
competed in the storytelling
competition with speakers from
Grade 2 and 3. Mitchell Kellington,
Scott Dolmage and Hayden Ten Pas

Anthony Vader, Mackenzie
McGavin and Brody Ten Pas
represented Grade 3. Brody Ten Pas

followed by Mackenzie McGavin in
second and Anthony Vader and Scott
Dolmage, who tied for third place.
