with all County departments, is building its GIS capability to
provide data management, analytical and mapping services
that support the multiple functions of the County
Government. The GIS Technician is responsible for research,
analysis, data input, system management, liaison with all
levels of government, mapping, web capability, and support
systems including hardware and software. The County has a
GIS Strategic Plan and has made application to the Ontario
GeoSmart Program for implementation funding.
