Reiki is now being offered in
Brussels.
Chen Fransen offers the healing
process sessions every Tuesday
afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m.
However, appointments
needed as a whole body process
takes an hour and a half-a-body
process takes a half-hour.
The reiki healing sessions are
offered upstairs at 72 Sports Dr. in
Brussels. Fransen also provides
sessions at Huronlea in Brussels and
Caressant Care in Listowel.
She noted there are levels in reiki,
with Fransen being at level one,
which is under 60 hours. Until she
reaches 60 hours she cannot ask for
donations. After 60 hours she can
ask her clients for donations, but
cannot charge them. She received
her training in reiki in Toronto.
Reiki is a healing technique in
which a therapist channels energy
into a patient by means of touch to
activate the natural healing process
of the patient’s body and restore
physical and emotional well-being.
To help a patient heal any level, they
need healing, be it emotional,
mental, physical or spiritual.
The origin of reiki can be traced
back to ancient Tibet, thousands of
years ago. This technique was re-

at 15:26 with the Sailors’ third goal.
Hemingway said, following the
cont&st, that this was the type of
game he was expecting
Sailors.
“I thought it would be
physical game,” the
blueliner said. “They’ve always
given us a tough time this sea
son.”
Hemingway indicated that
Goderich is fighting for the fourth
and final playoff spot with the
Mount Forest Patriots.
“They are a hard-working team,”
he said.
He indicated his role is more
defensive this season, having only
three goals and 13 assists going into
Friday’s contest.
“I'm more of a defensive
defenceman this year,” he said. “I'm
playing on the penalty kill with Malt
McCann.”
Hemingway said he doesn’t get
too many opportunities on the
power-play.
For Stewart, it was just another
day at the office - getting two goals
and four assists - as he battles Nick
Locking of the Patriots for the
league scoring title.
“This was a big win for us, even
though we didn't play well as a
team,” he said.
Despite the six-point effort,
Stewart said he should of had more
points.
He indicated that the Sailors were
doing a lot of clutching and
grabbing, but they are a team
fighting for a playoff spot. He agreed
with Hemingway, that the Sailors are
a hard-working team.
The Ironmen conclude the regular
season in Kincardine on Friday, with
the league awards banquet being
held Sunday afternoon in
Kincardine.
Kurt Edwards made 34 saves in
the Wingham net and Sean Ellison
slopped 37 Ironmen shots in the
Goderich net.
The Ironmen took five of the nine
minor penalties assessed7 in the
game.
The playoffs begin the following
weekend. Wingham plays either
Goderich or Mount Forest, while the
Kincardine Bulldogs tangle with the
Hanover Barons.
