Wilbee, guest speaker at Knox Gloria Wilbee was guest speaker at Cranbrook’s Knox Presbyterian Church on Sunday in the absence of Rev. Theresa McDonald-Lee. The congregation was reminded about the church annual meeting to be held on Sunday. Feb. 20. The meeting begins with a potluck dinner in the church at 6:30 p.m. Chris and Shelly Smith are back from their week’s vacation in Jamaica. They report great weather and food, making for a good holiday. Fred and Teuni Smith took over their farm and had a good time bonding with their grandchildren Lexi. Dclayna and Bennett. Chelsey Terpstra and Lexi Smith are preparing their speeches for the Grey Central School competition. Good luck girls. Leslie and Yvonne Knight spent a few days last week visiting with Rick, Naomi. William and Andrew Knight in Richmond Hill. They attended some draws in the Kia Cup Ontario Men’s curling championship tournament held at the Iroquois Park Sports Centre in Whitby. There were IO men’s teams from different areas of Ontario curling for the right to go to the Briar representing Ontario. Wayne Middaugh from the St. George’s Golf and Curling Club and his team were the winners defeating Glenn Howard’s team from the Coldwater and District Curling Club. The winners at darts in Cranbrook last week were Annette Lewington with 100 points and Murray Keffer with 133 points. Birthday wishes to Helen Topham and Jenna Fischer, Feb. 16; Joe Smith, Feb. 21; Steve Knight, Feb. 22 and Janice Forsyth, Feb. 24. Happy anniversary to Gary and Sharon Evans on Feb. 21. OPP investigate Morris break-in On Feb. 7 around midnight a break-in was reported at a residence on Browntown Road in Morris- Turn berry. Early on Feb. 6 the victim left his house at 1:30 p.m. to attend a Super Bowl party. He returned at 9 p.m. to find that someone had entered his home through a door. Personal cheques, wallets, two watches, portable phone.with charger and an antique Royal Dalton blue/white vase were stolen.
