(Watson) Boshart of Blyth passed away at the Clinton Public Hospital on Wednesday. Jan. 26. 2005. She was in her 73rd year. She was the daughter of the late William N. and Anne E. Watson. She was the dear mother of Suzanne and her husband Randy Hamilton of Clinton and loving Nan of Avril- Anne and Dexter Hamilton of Clinton. Mrs. Boshart is also survived by a brother Paul and his wife Eva Watson of Chesley. A sister. Cleta Forsyth of Orillia. predeceased her. There was no funeral home visitation or service. A private family interment in the Blyth Union Cemetery will take place at a later dale. Arrangements were entrusted to the Falconer Funeral Homes Ltd., Clinton. ROBERT POTTER Mr. Robert Potter of Londesborough passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005. He was in his 78th year. Mr. Potter was born June 10. 1927 in Markham and was the son of the late George and Madeline (Campbell) Potter. He was the beloved husband of Ann Potter and loving father of Alan Potter and Gordon Potter of Londesborough and Sandra Potter of Toronto. He was the cherished grandfather of Amanda Avery and dear brother of George Potter of Toronto, Jack Potter of Kitchener and Ernie Potter, of Toronto. Mr. Potter was predeceased by his sister Kathleen Cook. Friends were received at the Falconer Funeral Homes Ltd., 153 High St., Clinton on Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. where the funeral service was held on Saturday, Jan. 29 at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Clinton Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to the charity of one’s choice would be greatly appreciated. AGNES EILEEN ROBINSON Miss Agnes Eileen Robinson of Toronto, and formerly of Blyth, passed away on Monday, Jan. 24, 2005 at the Castleview Wychwood Towers, Toronto. She was in her 84th year. Eileen was born in Blyth, Oct. 21, 1921, a daughter of the late Robert and Agnes (Davis) Robinson. She was predeceased by her brothers Lyall Robinson and Stuart Robinson, and sisters Ethel Augustine, Dorothy Wilkinson and Lois Tassie. Eileen had a career in banking, beginning in Blyth, then onto Goderich and finishing in Toronto. She is fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. There was no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place. Interment will take place in Blyth Union Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the Falconer Funeral Homes Ltd. Over 50 attend meeting PEOPLE AROUND BELGRAVE FROM BELGRAVE The Belgrave United Church Women held their annual potluck dinner and general meeting in the church basement on Thursday evering with over 50 members, spouses and community friends present. Rev. John Roberts offered the grace before dinner. Muriel Coultes led in worship with the theme: Crossing borders, then introduced the guest speakers for the evening. Jim and Betty Ross, congregation members, had taken a month-long agricultural tour of New Zealand and Australia. They gave an account of their trip, which they accompanied with slides of the areas, farms and landscapes. Wilma Higgins thanked them for their presentation and presented them with a gift. Mary Hunter, president asked Gloria Dow, Huron-Perth Presbyterial president to install the new officers. They are: president, Mary Hunter; first vice-president. Pat Hunking; secretary, Nancy Michie; assistant secretary. Doreen Marks; treasurer, Barbara Anderson; stewardship and finance. Elsie Palmer; world outreach. Louise Bosman; Christian development, Mabel Wheeler; social committee, Sheila Nixon, Donna Shaw, Lila Procter, Doris Robinson, Laurie Procter, Ruth Gordon, Pat Hunking, Pat Barnes; in-church services. Lorna Cook, Nancy Folkard. Mary Ellen Keller, Florence McArter; pianist, Freda Johnston; . assistant, Joanne Robinson; auditors, Nancy Michie, Isabel Logan; nominating committee, Muriel Coultes, Wilma Scott. Mrs. Hunter conducted the business and Mrs. Hunking acted as secretary. It was decided to finance the making of new Christmas decorations for the tree in the church. Barbara Anderson agreed to look into purchasing 25 new chairs for the basement of the church. It was agreed to cater to a 50th wedding anniversary dinner in the spring. By Linda Campbell Call 357-2188 Visitors on Sunday afternoon with Barbara and Ross Anderson were Richard, Anne, Catherine, Daniel and Sarah Anderson of Goderich, Nancy and Rick Ball of Hanover and Matthew Ball and friend of Kitchener. The guests brought food and prepared supper for everyone to celebrate Barbara’s 83rd birthday. 13 tables OPP worn business owners in play at shoot party There were 13 tables of shoot in play at the Community Centre on Friday, Jan. 28. Winners were: high lady, Irlma Edgar; second high lady, Marie Stewart; most shoots, Appleby; low lady, Nicholson; high man, Ken Spears; second high man, Laura Johnston; most shoots Ivy Cloakey; low man. Ross Taylor. The next shoot is Friday, Feb. 11 with dessert at I p.m. Huron OPP have received a few calls from businesses regarding suspicious people. Two people have entered these stores and asked to use the washroom. The person would be taken to the washroom area while the other remained inside the store. Police officers have identified these men as being known to commit property crimes. The men would have been checking the facilities for alarms, video­ surveillance equipment and the property inside along the along with the quantity. In some cases they have asked to use the telephone, which is often in the office area of the store. Officers are warning that all people wanting to use things in your store or seen parked outside watching may be gathering information to break into your business at a later date. Take down the type of vehicle, the licence plate, and a'description of the persons. Call the Huron OPP Sheila, Doug, Brandon and Jordyn Cousins of Guelph visited with Ross and Barbara and celebrated the same occasion a week ago Sunday.
