Legion caterers have next banquet in Feb.

The Brussels Legion Catering
group had its first banquet of 2005
on Wednesday evening. They served
a roast beef dinner to the Huron
County Beef Producers. Over 80
were in attendance.
The next banquet is in February.
The catering group is available for
noon or night meals, big or small,
meetings, family events,
graduations, weddings, funeral and
open houses. Catering chairs are
Helen Dobson and Jo-Ann
McDonald.
The Thursday night darts had a
dozen darters take aim at the boards.
The winners were John Harrison and
Catrina Josling. A tie for second
resulted in a playoff with Gord
Jacklin and John Stadelmann
defeating Lisa Glanville and Paul
Gross. The high start of the night
was by John Harrison with a 120.
The Friday night supper this week
is barbecued chicken.Saturday’s
euchre saw 12 tables of players
vying for top prize. Il was a close
day with the top three teams getting
76, 75 and 74 points. The winners
were Eileen Miller and Irlma Edgar.
Coming second were Lloyd and
Lillian Appleby and third were Bob
Regele and Bill Siemon.
The Ione hand winners were Linda
Stevens and Glenn Sellers.
Lows for were Betty Hulley and
Bea Stoll.
The Sunday night singles dance
had the great music of the
Westernaires. An added helper for
the dance was Sebastian Andrades,
grandson of Howard and Audrey
Hackwell. He helped at the door, in
