As we knew him when he was growing up in the Cranbrook area it has been interesting following his story as he lived in various areas. Many people from the Cranbrook community are mentioned in the book as well. Leslie and Yvonne Knight spent a few days last week with Rick, Naomi, Will and Andrew Knight in Richmond Hill. Congratulations to the following school bus drivers from our area who received awards for accident- free years of driving - Murray Hoover for 35 years and Doug Evans for 34 years. It was good to hear more people were out playing darts in Cranbrook last week. The high winners were Sarah Joslin with 103 points and Murray Keffer with 126 points. Some area residents attended the Brussels Agricultural Society’s annual meeting and potluck dinner on Friday night. Yvonne Knight presented the Jeanne Ireland Award to Kelby Krotz who attends Brussels Public School. She won the award for the most points in the school section of the fair. Congratulations to Leona Armstrong for receiving the Service Award for all her work in the community and with the agricultural society. Birthday wishes to David Smith, Jan. 21; Bruce Knight, Jan. 23; Leona Armstrong, Jan. 24; Lexi Smith. Jan. 25; Jeff Badley and Curtis Terpstra. Jan. 26 and Cassidy Becker. Jan. 27.
