To all my co-workers from the Hearing Care Centre, thank you for your donation of a beautiful tree, planted at our home in remembrance of Warren. Thank you to our neighbours for the generous donation. With this donation, a tree will be purchased and planted at the Greenway in memory of Warren for all his work done there. A special thank you to Rick Elliott and Ernest Dow for setting up the Erin Moore Educational Trust Fund, and to everyone who donated so generously to it. We thank you ever so much. A big thank you goes to the girls for all the food and preparation for ourselves and our families, and for the many visits and shoulders to lean on, it meant so much. FIELD SERVICES SUPERVISOR ~ F Maitland Valley Conservation Authority The MVCA is inviting applications for the position of Field Services Supervisor. This is a permanent, full time position based in Wroxeter. Responsibilities include: • Supervising projects and services relating to Conservation Areas facility infrastructure. Conducting Conservation Areas inspections and preparing property liability reports • Operating and maintaining MVCA water control structures • Assisting with the operation and maintenance of small water supply systems • Assisting with the installation and maintenance of streamflow gauging stations. Conducting snow surveys. • Assisting with reforestation services and plantation/woodlot management activities • Collecting water samples • Maintenance and safety certification of vehicles and equipment within the Authority Motor Pool Desired qualifications include: • A college and/or technical diploma or equivalent related experience. A minimum of two years work experience related to major responsibilities. • Knowledge of maintenance and operationai requirements associated with Conservation Area infrastructure including but not limited to: carpentry, electrical, plumbing, welding and mechanical • Experience operating a wide variety of equipment • Trained Person certificate for the operation of Small Drinking Water Systems under O.Rcg. 170/03 would be an asset • Must possess a valid “Class D” Drivers Licence within the Province of Ontario A detailed job description is available by contacting the MVCA during business hours.
