reverently before the tomb of King
Billy of pious and immortal memory,
He had not been there long when a
voice issued from the tomb. "Is that
you, Ned?" "Yes, your Majesty. "I
thought it was you, Ned -I've been
-waiting t g for yon for two hundred years.
How's Roddsn?" "He's well, your

lamented. How's Sir John?"
The
Mayor lowered his voice to a husky
whisper. "He's gone back on the gang,"
"How's that?" (sharply.) "He's laob-
nobbin' with the Jesuits -bad luck to
him." King William rolled, over and
kicked the end out of his coffin. "Are
there Jesuits in Canada, Ned?" "Lash -
ins of them, your Majesty -and the
nation has just voted them half' t mil-
lion." The crashing of tianber could
be heard. inside, and Ned knew that
the late. King had raised his knees and
busted the lid off his coffin.. "Heap me
out, Ned !" "1 dasn't," said his Worshp,
"there's e., cop watching, me." 4 Then,
sing the '13oyne Water,' Nectar
become calm again." The in a sweet
mezzo soprano did our Mayor lift tip
his voice and sing:
On July twelfth in Oldbridge town,
Thee was a famous battle,
And many a man ley on the ground
And the ea,liiio?l they did rattle.
"No party chusies." The voice was
the voice of a cold blooded, cup, and.
his Worship corked his trombone and
strode back to the hetel.
