British Grain Trade.
London, June 25.—The Marie. Lane
Express, in its weekly review of the
British grain trade during the past
week, says:—"The weather favors the
wheat crops, eticept in the heavier soils,
which will need dry weather during
July. The sales of English wheat dur-
ing the past week were 125,000 quart-
ers, a fair quantity for midsummer
week. The foreign wheat trade is
improving, though there is no quotable
advance in prices; Indian is occasion-
ally 6e1 dearer. Foreign barley is 3d
dearer. Oats are firm. Beans and peas
are weaker. In the offcost Danubian
wheat touched 28s and Californian 33s,
though they close firmer on the week.
Russian Barley was 6d to 9d dearer
and corn was 3d dearer. At to -day's
market English wheat was 6d dearer,
and Indian 1s dearer- American and
Californian tended in sellers' favor.
