—The semi-annual meeting of the
teachers of West Huron, will be held in
the Public School here, on Wednesday
and Thursday next. The session Trill

is doing as well as can be expected.
—We received from Mr. Wm. Edgar,
general passenger agent G. T. E., a
copy of a work entitled "Fishing and
hunting resorts of the Grand Trunk
Railway." It is very useful and
should be in the hands ofallsportsmen.
—One day last week Mr. Thos.Russell,
of the Thames Road, sold his thorough

Orange Lodge, of British, America pro-
mises to be one of the largest, if not the
largest, ever held in the Dominion of
Canada. The committee met at Clin-
ton last week and every possible ar-
rangemeet is being made for this
grand affair. The Black Chapter will
meet on Monday, and on Tuesday the
Grand Orange Irocge will open. On
Wednesday evening a. grand banquet
will be tendered the delegates in the
skating rink. The plane will be lit up
by electric light. The Clinton fife and
,drum band and Goderich brass band
swill furnish the Music for -the occasion.
The committee will meet to make final
;arrangements on Tuesday„ May 21st,
