We wonder who was the boy got left
the night of the pancake feed. You
must be careful after this and not let
the country boys come in with their cut
ters and take your girls away.

What.might be called a low mean
contemptible trick was played by one
of our young boys of this place a few
days ago, which Was in this 'way per-
formed:—He engaged a young lady to
go to a Concert which was to' be held in
Eden school house on Friday evening
last but when the time came to go the
young man was not. there for in the
meantime he had.engaged, another
young lady froiirthe•country. He prob-
ably thought it a smart trick to play on
a young lady but it was not a manly
action nor a credit to July young gentle
man to do the like.
