The detectives have for some days
been investigating the case of a cedar
post of large size being placed across
the Grand Trunk rails near Ingersoll.
The obstruction was placed there some
time on New Year's Eve, end No 65
Express ran into it, but fortunately
escaped with DO damage. The facts
ascertainable are very far as it is possi-
ble to learn the officers have not suc-
ceeded in securing any clue to the
prepetrator.
