The spring show in connection with
the Stephen & Usborne Agricultural
Society, will be held here on April 10th
when good prizes will be awarded. We
hope that the farmers will make this a
success, as those are the only ones who
can do so, Further particulars will be
given later.
Nearly a Fire.
On Monday morning about 9.30 fire
was discovered breaking through the
roof of Mr. George Bawden's residence.
It was noticed by the family and in a
few minutes was extinuished. Ned
the fire got ten minutes of a headway,
nothing could have been saved. Cause
of fire was from a defective chimney.
Loss.covered by insurance.

Millers' Association of the counties of
Huron, Bruce, Perth Grey and North

pressed state of the milling business in
Ontario, asking him to remedy, the

Presbytery of Boron,
This Presbytery met at Iiensall on
January Bath Rev. Win, Martin was
appointed Moder. .., •r for the next six
months.. Rev. Me- •rs. Cook and Fear,
of the Methodist church, and Bridgman,
of the Episcopal church, being present
were invited to sit as corresponding
members: Rupee on Sabbath Sehools
was read by Mn J.-4. Scott, of Clinton.
The report slimed that nine Sessions
did not report to the Convener, and
that, consequently, it was necessary
to delay the adoption of the committee's
report. The committee was empower-
ed to forward the report when com-
pleted to the Convener of the Synod's
Committee on Sabbath Schools. The
remit on. the marriage question was
approved of sialyiicifer. This remit
allows liberty of opinion as to whether
the discipline of the church shall be
exercised' on a inan who may marrya
deceased wife's sister, or a deceased
wife's niece. Rev. Mr. Jamison being
present, was invited to sit as a corre-
spondingConsiderable time
