both vocal and instrumental, was ren-

had nothing to say about It, when a

for a teacher for 1889 and numerous
personal applications were received,
among which was a gentleman from

front Hensell. The treasurer promised
to do all he could for the former. Short-

er was asked by the other trustees to at the Provincial Grand. Lodge at
name his man, but he refused to do se; Hamilton this year.
Probably it was through the influence
of his woman, who had fallen deeply in
love with the Hensallite, the first time
she beheld hire. This gas lit treasurer
could be seen going from house to
homemaking publiethat the other trus-
tees through relation and politics, had
hired a teacher with a third class Cer-
tificate, when a teacher with a second
class certificate could be hired for less
money. Perhaps the huge but empty
headed treasurer would like his own
son engaged, who attended high school
for eight weeks, but we do not know
whether his certificate demands a high-
er salary than a second class or not.
Perhaps your many subseribers would
like to be able to distinguish the Treas-
urer of the said S. S. Well, if ever in
your travels you hear at a distance a
noise resembling a tornado and behold
the gravel 8eeingin all directions, and
