Shine a light
In celebration of a Trillium grant for new lights at the BMG Community Centre, the key players
met at the arena to see how they did. The new lights are expected to yield $3,200 in energy
savings annually and was accomplished in part due to a generous donation from the Ontario

Honouring Brussels' own
Jill Sholdice took home a Brussels citizenship award last
week in the category of lending a helping hand with local
sports. Huron East mayor Joe Seili was on hand to give out
the awards. Not present to receive her award was Michelle
Blake, Sholdice's sister, who won a citizenship award for

4 arrested for confinement, theft
A true humanitarian

Four people, including a young
offender, have been arrested for
theft.
OPP said that at approximately
midnight on Dec. 15, a 17-year-old
youth was walking along Gibbons
Street in Goderich when three males
approched and forced the victim
into a vehicle. The youth was
robbed and released with no injuries
in an isolated area of Ashfield-
Colborne-Wawanosh.
An 18-year-old female from
Goderich, an 18-year-old male and
a 20-year-old male both from
Central Huron and a 16-year-old
each face one count of robbery with
theft and one count of forcible
confinement.
