CoCCection Schedule
The Bluewater Recycling Association and all its staff
would like to wish, everyone a Merry Christmas and a
happy .New year. During ,this holiday season, we
postpone the regular collection of waste and recyclables
in order to allow our staff to savour this joyous holiday
season with their family.
Since Christmas and New year's Day are on a Monday
this year, there will not be any collection on Monday,
December 25th and Monday, January 1st. An alternate
collection will occur on Saturday, December 3oth for all,
those normally collected on those dates.
Tuesday, December 26th is a regular collection day for
us except for the Town of St. Marys and 14/Ingham,
which will-not be collecteduntiCTuesday, January 2nd
If your collection day is Tuesday, please ensure that
your material is set out by 7:ooam as the driver may be
there earlier than usual The regular collection schedule
will resume on Tuesday, January 2nd

Mixed results for Saugeen Maitland girls
The Saugeen Maitland PeeWee
girls met up with Windsor for two
league games in Howick Saturday,
Dec. 16.
This was their first meeting after
losing out to Windsor in the semi-
final game of the Whitby
tournament.
The Saugeen girls won the first
game 5-0 with the shutout going to
Kortney Watson (Kincardine).
Dollee Meigs (Owen Sound) had a
hattrick with singles to Laura Irwin
(Ripley) and Sara Gossell
(Tiverton).
The second game ended in a 3-3
tie with a natural hattrick to Dollee
Meigs.
On Sunday, Dec. 17 the girls
travelled to Zurich and came
away with a 3-1 win and 2-2 tie
against Bluewater. Saugeen
goalscorers were Sara Gossell with •
two, Caroline McDowell __(Blyth),
Hannah Davidson (Kincardine) and
Meigs.
Saugeen captain Meigs was
the star of the weekend with seven
goals (two hattricks and a single)
and two assists for a total • of nine
points.
The Saugeen Maitland team
remains in first place in their
division going into the Christmas
break.
Tough week or Blyth Novice Bulldogs
third for the locals with BCH scoring, four in the final period
victory.
Marshall. It was a tough week for the Blyth
Novices as the suffered two losses
on home ice.
On Dec. 12 the team faced off
against BCH at home and fell short
by a score of 6-2.

The visitors were shutdown
through all three periods, while an
offensive onslaught by Blyth
counted for nine goals.
Josh Van Soest skated in alone late
in the first to finally get Blyth on the
scoreboard.
Then in the second, Dylan
Bromley handed off to Ryan
Plunkett who pushed one between
the pipes. Two minutes later
Bromley again set up the play, this
time for Dalton Richmond to score.
Van Soest again went in alone to
score his second of the game and
increase the lead to 4-0. Then with
the minutes ticking down in, the
Dynamites
tie Seaforth
The Blyth PeeWee Dynamite
broomball team played Seaforth in
Blyth on Saturday. Both teams
played a strong offensive game.
The Dynamite scored first when
Carlene Bremner and Brittany
Boyce teamed up to get the ball to
Morgan Bos, who put the ball into
the net.
Dynamite goalie Alex Sanders
came up big in the second period
stopping a Seaforth breakaway. But
later in a mad scramble in front of
the Dynamite net, Seaforth tucked
the ball in to tie the game. Despite
some strong Dynamite offence from
Jessica Kuik and Michael Lalonde
the game ended in a tie.

Brandon Marshall put his. team on
the scoreboard in the first to bring
the game to a tie.
The visitors increased their lead in
the second by one point, while
holding the hosts.
The wheels really fell off in the
period, Richmond scored again off a
pass from Bromley.
The hosts added three more in the
third off the sticks of Bromley,
Curtis Raynard and Brenden
four to their one. Treble also lit the'
light for his squad another time, but
it wasn't enough as the visitors came
away with a solid victory. Chad
Treble got the assist.
In net for Blyth was Franklin
Hallahan with two. Bromley assisted
on the first of Hallahan's goals.
Enjoying the game in net for Blyth
were Dalton Carey and Dustin
Treble.
Two days later Zurich came to
town to take on the Novice Dogs and
went open with a 5-2 victory.
After a scoreless first period,
Justin Rodger put the hosts on the
scoreboard with an assist from Amy
Boyce in the second. The squad
continued its strong play through the
period and managed another goal
before the buzzer. Jordan Hubbard
handed off to Chad Treble, who set
up the play for Drew Bromley to
score.
Zurich finally got on the
scoreboard with just over a minute
remaining in the second, then added
to seal their
