Mildmay lords it over Kings
On Saturday, Dec. 2, the Brussels
Tykes hosted the Blyth Tykes. Blyth
was quick to jump on the
scoreboard, scoring four goals on
Brussels in the first period to take a
4-0 lead.
Brussels goalie, Derrick Waechter
caught on to Blyth's scoring
techniques early in the second
period, to stop all nine shots that
Blyth made in the second period.
Logan Kellington put Brussels on
the scoreboard early on in the
second period, with an unassisted
goal. Noah Terpstra scored his first

by Wyatt Machan.
In the third Blyth managed to put
two of the five shots in past
Waechter.
Blyth skated off with a 6-2 win.
This past Sunday, the Tykes
travelled to Seaforth for a mid-
afternoon game. Both teams were
obviously well rested as the play
was quite fierce back and forth
. throughout the entire game.
Seaforth's Scott Chisholm scored
both their goals; with Jacob Kirkton
picking up an assist.
Kellington racked up his second
hattrick of the season, with assists
made by Delayna Smith and Ronan
Jared.
Honourable mention needs to go
out to the rest of the Brussels team,

The Blyth Kings broomball team
and their families travelled on snow-
covered roads to play Mildmay on
Saturday, Dec. 9.
Mildmay had the only score of the
first period. A player was behind the
net and flipped the ball over the net.
A teammate stopped and settled the
ball down with his hand, flipping it
into Blyth's net.
Mildmay was the only team to
score in the second period. The ball
slipped into the corner of the net
after a shot from the side.
Blyth had some scoring
opportunities, but they just couldn't
get the ball past Mildmay's keen
goalie.
When Blyth did have a breakaway
their opponents stopped the play.
The final score was 2-0 for

the lead.
Blyth defence, Morgan
Bwalchmai and Emilie Hogan,
helped the offence with some
rushing and Dynamite forwards
Morgan Bos, pro
