THE CITIZEN, THURSDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2006. GEORGE MITCHELL William George Mitchell of Mitchell passed away at University Hospital, London, on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006. Born in Kitchener on Aug. 22, 1947, George was in his 60th year. George was the dear father of Shanda Mitchell and husband Tyler and Roy Cambridge and wife Melissa, all of London. He was the dear brother of John and Joanne Mitchell of Fergus and Robert and Cathy Mitchell of Goderich. George was also loved by his grandchildren Shay, Trinity, Roy, and Ayden, his niece Amy Mitchell and nephew Kurtis Mitchell. His parents Frank and Evelyn predeceased him. Friends were received from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Friday at the Schimanski Family Funeral Home, Brussels, where the funeral service was conducted on Saturday, Oct. 21 t7r' at 1 p.m. with Ken Brown officiating. Burial was in Brussels Cemet- ery. Acting as pallbearers were Ralph Darlow, Brian Armstrong, Gord Kurtis Mitchell, Glenn Whitehead and Dave Brown. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Kidney Foundation, the Canadian Diabetes Association or CNIB. Born in Grey Twp. on Dec. 27, 1926, Mary was in her 80th year. Mary was the beloved wife of the late Glenn Nichol. She was the dear mother of Linda Taylor of Acton and Cathy Nichol of Niagara Falls and grandma to Carolyne Nichol of Denver. She was the dear mother-in-law of Ann Nichol of London and dear sister of Bill and Carol Stevenson of Grey Twp., Murray and Sue Stevenson of Waterloo and Ruth Rapson of Seaforth. Mary was the dear sister-in-law of Goldie Stevenson of Atwood, Eleanor Stevenson of Grey Twp., Gordon Nichol and Allan and Elaine Nichol, all of Brussels, Kenneth Nichol and Marjorie Wray, both of Hamilton and Stuart Nichol of Toronto. She was predeceased by her son Joseph, brothers Gordon and Stuart, brother-in-law John Rapson and sisters-in-law Mildred and Dorothy. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Mary's life will be conducted on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 2 p.m. from Brussels United Church. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Mrs. Armstrong presided over the business. The minutes of the September meeting were read and approved. The Guild is invited to the Maitland Presbyterial meeting to be held on Oct. 24 in Belgrave. The roll call was answered with everyone telling what they are thankful for. The hymn Forward in Faith was sung. Mary Douma and Dona Knight will be the leaders for the November meeting. The Kincardine ladies thanked the Guild for the hospitality. Mrs. Armstrong led in prayer to close the meeting. Mrs. Mann showed a movie on elder abuse and a discussion followed.
